• A major international retailer is in the process of building multiple distribution centers to support its retail shipping and e-commerce growth strategies.

• The project manager will be responsible for managing an initiative focused on the development and installation of all supporting infrastructure elements at each physical site.

Job Description:

• Develop, maintain and implement a major infrastructure project.

• Communicate effectively with SMEs in each major domain from operations to infrastructure and engineering.

• Regularly keep technology leading up to date on progress and roadblocks.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is a large, complex, geographically dispersed organization. Approximately 8000 employees, represented by several collective agreements and working in both official languages, interact with HR Information Management systems on a daily basis – from self-serve Employee and Manager portals to HR transactions managed by their Shared Services organization.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Integration Lead & IT Solution Architect is responsible for the strategy and approach to move from the Legacy systems to Workday and the delivery of integration points. You will define the architecture for these solutions and define how they fit into the broader enterprise architecture including integration with client systems. You are also responsible for the delivery of all architecture documents and artifacts as required by the client’s current methodology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall architecture future state of the related systems;

Design optimized integration points between systems to establish the overall solution;

Participate in design reviews; validate technology approaches and associated work products to ensure adherence to company guidelines;

Ensure existing application and/or data security policies are followed, and incorporate security requirements into the overall architecture;

Ensure data quality and integrity in accordance with defined roles, processes, and criteria;

  • Develop proof of concept prototypes for solutions and platforms to ensure viability;

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and proven success in roles assisting large employers with improving the performance of their organization. This includes improving the delivery of services, implementing technologies, aligning technology and people strategies with business strategies, streamlining and standing policies, practices, and processes, and transforming the organization to be more effective.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and proven success with serving on several global and/or enterprise-wide implementations which includes leveraging the following areas and skillsets:

  • Assessment, design, and delivery of systems integrations based on leading practices;
  • Experience in working with Cloud (SaaS) and On-Premise solutions and vendors, including implementation, business continuity plan, security, service level agreement, cost of ownership;
  • Technical acumen in system configuration, especially for cloud integrations;
  • Experience in assisting the client as a point of reference while transitioning from a legacy system to cloud-based technology.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years experience in application development with progressively senior roles related to Senior Application Development;
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in the application architecture/design, coding, and their applications;
  • Workday Architecture knowledge is an asset;
  • Thorough and detailed understanding of application performance issues and performance tuning techniques;
  • Proven familiarity with software/integrations architecture design patterns and their application;
  • Proven expertise in programming languages and Application development (including C# and ASP.Net and VB.Net), familiarity with current trends and industry best practices;
  • Experience in programming synchronous and asynchronous interfaces using Java, C # or ASP.NET, bus messaging, XML, and Web SOAP or Rest Web services;
  • Performance Tuning, Memory Management; and Analysis.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of XML, SQL, HTTP/HTTPS, and EAI processes
  • Familiarity with multiple implementation standards and methodologies
  • Programming Languages – APEX, Visual Force, Familiarity with ANT and Eclipse tools for working with the IDE
  • com and other certifications, required
  • Very strong work ethic with a customer service focus (high intensity).- Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Experience with and integrating to ServiceNow, Kimble, Conga, NetSuite, Workday, Gainsight, Marketo, Highradius, and Mulesoft
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience). If you have an Associate’s Degree, you must have an equivalent of a minimum of 6 years of work experience
